Terms & Conditions
Laitis is free for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use requires a separate agreement. Laitis 7 Alpha is experimental. Read the Privacy Policy before choosing online features.
1. Who provides Laitis
These Terms govern the Laitis desktop application, its browser extension, the website at laitis.ru and related Laitis online services. They cover the Windows Legacy 6 release and the cross-platform Laitis 7 Alpha release unless a provision expressly distinguishes them.
The rights holder and service operator is individual entrepreneur Sergey Andreevich Mikolaitis (ИП Миколайтис Сергей Андреевич), Krasnodar, Russian Federation. Contact: blasterloremaster@gmail.com. Commercial enquiries: mklts.com.
By expressly accepting these Terms when downloading or installing the software, you enter into this agreement with the rights holder. If you cannot enter into a binding agreement under the law applicable to you, obtain the involvement of a parent, guardian or other authorised person. Do not accept these Terms if you disagree with them.
2. Your personal-use licence
Subject to these Terms, you receive a non-exclusive licence to install and use unmodified Laitis releases on your devices, free of charge, solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may make backup copies.
Use for an employer, organisation, professional practice, paid work or another commercial purpose requires a separate written agreement. Contact the rights holder through mklts.com before such use. A donation does not grant a commercial licence.
You may share unmodified official installation packages free of charge, with their copyright notices and accompanying documents intact. You may not sell or rebrand Laitis, remove ownership notices or distribute a modified version as an official release without permission. Rights granted by law, including mandatory interoperability exceptions, remain unaffected.
Laitis and the rights holder’s original materials remain their respective owners’ intellectual property. Third-party components and models have their own licences; this personal-use restriction does not replace or limit rights granted by those licences. See the third-party notices.
3. Commands, permissions and responsible use
Laitis can listen to a microphone, enter text, simulate keyboard and mouse input, control applications and browser pages, run scripts or programs, and execute sequences you configure. Some features need operating-system permissions or the browser extension. A voice phrase, community command or agent request can trigger significant actions with your user permissions.
Review commands, scripts, downloaded collections and agent permissions before running them. Keep your own backups and verify the result of dictation and automation. Use the software only on devices and accounts you are authorised to control, and obtain any permission required before capturing another person’s speech or processing their information.
Do not use Laitis for unlawful access, malware, harassment, infringement of others’ rights or disruption of the services. Do not attempt to evade service access controls or overload the API. The software is not designed for safety-critical decisions or situations where an incorrect action could endanger a person.
4. Legacy, Alpha and updates
Legacy 6 is the established Windows release offered during the transition. Laitis 7 Alpha is an experimental release for Windows, macOS and Linux. Features, operating-system permissions, formats and platform limitations differ. In particular, Linux display-server restrictions and the availability of system speech engines can affect behaviour.
Alpha may contain defects, change substantially or fail to preserve a workflow exactly as it worked in Legacy. Keep a separate copy of important command collections and settings before switching versions. Screenshots and schematic illustrations do not guarantee identical behaviour on every platform.
The application can contact Laitis update services and offer or install updates according to the release and its settings. Availability of an older build, support for a platform and compatibility with external services are not guaranteed indefinitely. Updated Terms apply to a later release or changed service when presented for acceptance; they do not retroactively remove rights already granted for a previously accepted release.
5. Accounts and optional online services
Core local commands and dictation do not require a Laitis account. Online speech providers, community content, cloud synchronisation and Connect need the corresponding network connection and, where applicable, an account or provider credentials. The local MCP integration is separate from Connect and is enabled by the user.
Provide accurate account information, protect credentials and use a unique password. Do not share session tokens, Connect keys or provider keys with untrusted people.
Laitis and its website are and will remain ad-free. The operator does not and will not use your voice, recognised phrases or commands to train AI models or use your data for advertising metrics, ad targeting or advertising profiles. The Privacy Policy explains which data stays on your device, is processed by Laitis or is sent to a service you choose. The operator does not sell that data or share it with third parties on its own initiative for their own purposes. The Policy lists recipients for the features you choose, diagnostics and legal obligations. We do not and will not collect advertising metrics.
Online services may be temporarily unavailable or changed for maintenance, security, legal requirements or discontinuation. Access may be restricted where necessary to stop abuse or a material breach of these Terms. Where practicable and lawful, the operator will explain a restriction and provide a contact route. Restrictions do not remove rights to request access to or deletion of personal data.
6. Your content and the community
You retain rights to the commands, collections and other content you create. Private synchronisation stores a copy of your library to make it available across your devices; it does not by itself publish that library in the community catalogue.
Submitting a collection for publication authorises the operator to review, reproduce, display and distribute that submitted content through the Laitis community and to make technical or moderation changes needed for that purpose. You must have the rights needed to submit it. This permission is non-exclusive and limited to operating the community; it does not transfer ownership of your work. It also allows other Laitis users to download, use and adapt your published commands for their personal use within Laitis.
Do not submit private credentials, other people’s personal information, unlawful material or commands whose harmful effects you conceal. The publication request and its contents can be visible to other users before moderation is complete. Published material may be downloaded by others. You can request removal from the official catalogue, but the operator cannot recall copies already downloaded by other people. Account profile information and publication visibility are explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. External services
A selected speech provider, operating-system service, browser store, model host, bank or AI client is operated separately from Laitis. Its own terms, charges and privacy practices apply. You are responsible for the provider account and permissions you choose to use. The operator cannot guarantee a third party’s availability or recognition accuracy, and does not grant rights to bypass that provider’s restrictions.
8. Voluntary support
Donations support the project and its running costs. They are voluntary and do not purchase a particular feature, delivery date, support priority, commercial licence or guaranteed service level. Bank transfers are handled by the bank, outside the website. If a transfer was mistaken, contact the rights holder and your bank; any applicable legal rights remain unaffected.
9. Availability and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, free Laitis releases and online services are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free recognition or fitness for a particular workflow. You remain responsible for checking the consequences of commands you configure.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the rights holder is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profit or loss caused by external providers or unauthorised changes to the software. These provisions do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for intentional misconduct. No term requires you to waive a statutory right.
10. Ending use and changes
You may stop using and uninstall Laitis at any time. Uninstalling does not by itself delete local backups, an online account or the server copy used for synchronisation. Follow the Privacy Policy to request deletion of server-held data.
A material breach of the licence can end the permission to use the rights holder’s software, subject to applicable law. Provisions that by their nature need to continue, such as ownership, existing publication permissions and applicable liability limits, continue only to the extent necessary and lawful.
The current revision and effective date appear at the top of this document. Material changes will be identified with a new revision; where required, the operator will seek a new acceptance or separate consent. A Privacy Policy acknowledgement is not blanket consent to optional data processing.
11. Applicable law and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply where you live. Disputes may be brought before the court competent under applicable law; no exclusive forum is imposed contrary to mandatory law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as lawful.
Russian and English versions are provided. If their wording differs, the Russian text guides interpretation to the extent permitted by applicable law. For licensing, service or legal requests, write to blasterloremaster@gmail.com. For commercial use, see mklts.com.
